GlobalMedic saves lives by providing short-term, rapid response in the wake of disasters and crisis, both at home and abroad.

GlobalMedic is a registered Canadian charity that runs capacity building programs and provides disaster relief services to large-scale catastrophes around the world.

GlobalMedic has responded to 191 disasters in 67 countries, including earthquakes in Ecuador, Haiti, Japan and Nepal; tsunamis in Japan and Sri Lanka; typhoons in the Philippines and Taiwan; hurricanes in Grenada and Guatemala; cyclones in India, Myanmar and Vanuatu; floods in Bangladesh, Mexico and Pakistan; drought and famine in Kenya and Mauritania; epidemics in Liberia and Sierra Leone; and complex emergencies in Gaza, Iraq, Mali, Somalia, Syria, Ukraine and Yemen.

Gord is on the Board of Directors for GlobalMedic, and has seen its rise since Executive Director, Rahul Singh, was just a paramedic hosting BBQ’s and selling t-shirts to raise the funds to personally respond to the desperate needs around the world. Together Rahul and Gord have been to numerous countries including Cambodia, and Thailand. A strong partnership was formed and today Gord does his best to support GlobalMedic’s mission of saving lives.
